The Invasion of Iraq: Regional Reflections

Hassan Janabi

Hassan Janabi was the former Iraq’s Ambassador to Turkey and the former Minister of Water Resources in Iraq from 2016 to 2018. He also served as Iraq’s Ambassador to Japan and was the Head of many departments in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs including the Department of International Organizations and the Department of Human Rights. From 2009 to 2014 he was Iraq’s Ambassador to the Rome-based UN agencies (FAO, WFP, and IFAD). He has extensive knowledge and advanced experience in management, planning, and development of major projects in the area of natural resources and ecosystem and transboundary river management.
