Scholars to discuss Iran-Arab cultural relations in Qatar | Tehran Times
TEHRAN – Scholars from different countries will be gathering at the Qatar Foundation to discuss cultural relations between Iran and the Arab countries in a meeting to be held on January 13, 2016.
Organized by the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), scholars from Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Palestine, the UAE (United Arab Emirates), Spain and Iran will attend the meeting named “Iran-Arab Cultural Relations”.
Joint political relations between Iran and Arabs, cultural relations between Iran and Arabs over the past century, the impression and the influence of Persian and Arab literature, the position of Iranian and Arab women in culture, politics and economy, as well as their role in reinforcing Iran and Arab political relations are among the topics to be discussed.
According to Mehran Kamrava, Director of the Center for International and Regional Studies at Georgetown University in Qatar, the meeting will help remind the cultural and historical commonalities of Iran and Arab countries.
Hojjatoleslam Ahmad Mobaleghi, Mohammad-Ali Mohtadi, Ebrahim Abdipur, Karim Mojtahedi and Musa Bidaj are among the Iranian scholars to speak at the meeting.
