CIRS Delegation Visits the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Azerbaijan (SAM)

On March 4, 2015, Deputy Director at the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Azerbaijan (SAM) Dr. Gulshan Pashayeya, Head of SAM Foreign Policy Analysis Department Dr. Cavid Valiyev and a group of SAM experts met a delegation from the Center for International and Regional Studies at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in Qatar, including Dr. Mehran Kamrava, Director of CIRS, Zahra Babar, Associate Director for Research at CIRS, and Haya Al-Noaimi, Research Analyst at CIRS.

The parties discussed Azerbaijan’s foreign policy, Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Azerbaijan’s relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran and GCC countries, energy policy of Azerbaijan, cultural and economic ties between the countries, etc. The guests expressed their gratitude to the staff of the center and stressed the importance of such meetings for the future.
