Mehran Kamrava on Oman’s Sultan Haitham and the strategic Musandam peninsula
Mehran Kamrava, Director of the Center for International and Regional Studies (CIRS) at Georgetown University in Qatar (GU-Q), was interviewed by Al Jazeera on the topic of Oman’s new Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said and Oman’s foreign policy. He explained that “if anyone is going to test the resolve of the new sultan, it is the Saudis and the Emiratis, particularly the latter, with whom the Omanis have had border issues in the past.” Read more at Al Jazeera.
